Which city name has been changed as Gurugram?

                                                          Gurgaon to Gurugram Gurgaon was renamed as Gurugram in 2016. The new name was inspired by the Mahabharata, in which the village was donated by the Pandavas to Guru Dronacharya as a Gurudakshina. The city, whose history was still poorly understood, acquired a mythological meaning.  On 27 September 2016, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar officially announced. That the central government approved the name change, and thus the city and district would henceforth be known as Gurugram, although the old name was "Gurgaon".
